Explore the Legacy of Native Artistry with Jamie Compton

Discover how my interest turned me into an expert, enabling me to help fellow collectors build quality collections and educate new collectors on historic Native American artifacts and antiques.

Sharing my items is a great way to learn about the Native story. My goal is to meet and connect with you in a way that promotes our mutual interest in beautiful objects created by those who came well before us.

Embracing Tradition, Integrity, and Respect

The Native objects I sell such as blankets, rugs and Southwest pottery are not illegal to sell or own. These objects have been sold or traded to other cultures for as long as tribes have been working, and sometimes fighting, with each other. It is not my intent to sell sacred items, grave items, or items of ceremonial importance. When I do find an item of tribal ceremonial importance, I work to return it to the tribe of origin. With the help of Robert Gallegos and his voluntary return program through ATADA. I was able to return an item to its origins.
