Description: This is a rare pair Plains indian earrings. Each of the circular pieces of abalone is etched all the way around, like a sun symbol. The abalone is fairly thick, giving a solid feel to each piece. The shell pearl essence is strong both front and back on one of the two pieces. On the second piece, the back shows much red shell color, and is more roughly shaped that the other. Each piece of shell is ringed with brass. The brass could be either clamped to the ear, or pierce it.
