John Greathead was an American painter born in Philadelphia who settled in California in 1918. He worked as a field engineer and exhibited his art in California.

To whom it may concern:

The abstract pastel drawing was done by step grandfather, John Greathead, circa 1920, in Vallejo CA. He was an archeologist, as well as a painter. He exhibited in Calif. at San Francsico Art Center in 1935 and at the Golden Gate Internation Exposition in 1939. He was my father’s second wife’s father.
