Buffalo Hide Bag, Likely a Quiver

Description: Because of its length and proportions, it’s guessed that this was likely used as a quiver, or a holder for arrows.  The hide is folded over and stitched along one side with hide apparently cut from the same animal.  The epidermis was left on the skin and shows up as the dark, brown and somewhat more shinny surface.  I imagine that this kept the surface of the hide drier and more resilient.

Restoration: Condition is as shown with a tear at the top that could be easily mended.
