Description: This fine and early serape is consider a “white” serape due to the background field being of white wool. This early churro wool has aged to a warm buttery color. The blues are white wool dyed with indigo and the pinks come in two types of yarn; one a raveled bayeta and the other a fine, 3-ply machine spun yarn, both dyed with cochineal. There are also raveled yellow yarns and homespun yellow yarns. The optical effect created by both the rows of diamonds coupled with the floating bars can shift to the eye showing a large pattern of “X”s throughout as seen in the negative spaces.
