Description: Simplicity always comes out best as seen with this early rug with Hubble type crosses on a beautiful variegated background.  The top and bottom are both layered with three, large red crosses.  The center has three double crosses, the center one red and white and the outer two white.  The background is a subtle yet powerful collection of lazy lines with variegated grey/brown/white wool weft.  The thin, simple, brown border is a further testament to its early age.

Restoration: Gentle restoration of older restoration has come out well. There are remains of small areas of red bleeding onto the white yarns.
