Early New Mexican Spanish Colonial Lance

This early New Mexican lance is a rare find. The pitted patina suggest an early date, likely 16th to the 18th century. Its characteristics are classic with a leaf formed blade transitioning to a handle portion with a seam that is open until the its very base where the closure overlaps. The overall length is 11″ and the widest point is 2 1/2″.

Condition Well worn and pitted patina, no breaks or cracks
