Hopi Polacca Large Corn Maiden Kachina Bowl

Hopi

Circa 1860 | Clay | Item 2249

This is a great and large Hopi, polacca, kachina face bowl. The kachina is believed to be the corn maiden, as shown with the corn stocks hanging from her tableta. The wear and patina is indicative of its earlier age. It’s rare to find one of these so early and so large.
