Large Navajo Concho Belt Buckle, Silver and Turquoise

Navajo

Circa 1930 | Silver, Turquoise | Item 2572

This is a beautifully crafted concho turned into a belt buckle. A single, oblong turquoise stone claims the center, with a radiating design all around and a multi-bordered bordered edge with fine stamping. The inside has the original copper brace for when it was a concho belt. This was likely pounded out of silver ingot and the stamp work is very fine and well executed. The belt loop holder on the inside can take a 1 3/4″ wide belt. Total weight of 79 grams.
