Large, Polychrome Bowl by Annie Healing, Circa 1925

Hopi, by Annie Healing

Circa 1925 | Clay | Item 2605

This large bowl (13.25″ diameter) shows the more rare black on red Hopi slip combination with a design of tadpole and geometric shapes circulating around. This was a pattern and color development created by the Nampeyo family, originating with Nampeyo of Hano and following to her daughter Annie Healing. The design is beautifully executed with a satisfying quality of design mixed with voided spaces.
