Large Santa Clara (or Ohkay Owingeh) Bowl with Burnishing Stones

Came out of Santa Clara, but appears to be Ohkay Owingeh

Circa 1930 | Clay | Item 1858

This is a sublimely beautiful bowl.  Four smooth polishing stones come with the bowl and were originally purchased with the bowl when it came out of the Santa Clara Pueblo. The inside is black in appearance, with stone polishing.  The outside is also stone polished and  has brown variations mixing in with the black.  It is the brown variations that make me think this bowl might have originated from Ohkay Owingeh. There are also a few dark, fire clouds on the outside.

Condition Condition is very good with no restoration other than crack stabilization.  There are two cracks, one is 5" long and the other is 2" long and both originate from the rim.
