Navajo Arizona Rug Showing Monumental Outcrops

Item: 1546

Origin: Navajo
Date: Circa 1940

Media: Wool

Dimensions: 46.5″ by 33″

Description: This is a great exaggerated view of Monument Valley, Arizona. This weaving has been shown for years on the forward side leaving the back side more original with the less faded colors.  I prefer the softness on the faded side.  The weave is coarse and the wool fuzzy, giving the surface much texture.   This is an iconic Navajo weaving from around the mid 20th century.

Condition:  Condition is original without restoration.

Price: 1800
