New Mexican 19th C. Pine Church Cross

New Mexico

Wood | Item 1624

I love the look of old wood, just like the patina on this 19th century Spanish Colonial cross. This pine cross was mostly likely used on an alter in a church in New Mexico. It is made of pine and its connected at the cross section with wood nails or dowels. There is a two tiered base platform. The wood shows good age. There is candle wax on top of the base. This simple cross has classic beauty.

Dimensions 18" tall, 10 3/4" wide
Condition Very good. The base could use some adjusting to help the cross stand straight
