Called a Morion Helmet, this is the iconic open-faced helmet featuring a prominent central comb and sweeping, curved brim. It was in wide use in North America in the mid to late 16th century, slightly after the initial conquest of Mexico and North America. It’s rare to find an artifact like this, even in compromised condition. The helmet comes with the stand shown.
