Dimensions: 35.5″, seat 18″ high, seat 17″ x 14″

Description: This old New Mexican pine wood chair has great detailing to it, more so than the average circa 1930s chair.  The top rail back board is deeply cut into a half rosette.  Below that is a small full rosette centered between 4 vertical spindles, 2 on each side.  This back system is finished at the bottom with a beaded rail board.  This beaded board is used again just under the seat as an even wider stretcher board. The back leg supports are finished at the top as a curved spiral cutting into the front of the leg.  The bottom stretchers are turned on a lathe and the front stretcher is well worn flat where shoes over the years would rub the wood off.

Condition:   Wear and age are typical for its age. The chair was at one time painted brown, as one can see remnants of this color.  The chair is a bit loose in the joints and could use a tightening up.
