Pair of 19th Century Comanche Long Earrings

Description: This is a rare pair of Comanche earrings. These have been seen on both men and women. They are typically made of German silver or nickel, but these are made of silver. They may have add access to a Mexican peso and pounded them thinner and then cut out the shapes. Each earring has 4 moons and 4 stars, all alternating. The final star at the bottom has a hole punched through it. Each part is attached to the other with one chain link joining to two links on either side. The patina is a wonderful, mellow tone. They each have the classic ear attachment for pierced ears.
Condition: Condition is original without restoration.
Provenance: A private Albuquerque, NM collection. These were collected in Oklahoma in the 1960s.
