Pair of Comanche Peyote, Silver, Earrings

Comanche

Circa 1900 | Silver, Glass Beads | Item 2678

This pair of Comanche earrings shows a thunderbird, likely a peyote bird, suspended from a silver wire for a pierced ear. The backs show evidence of having been shaped from a coin or some other marked piece of silver. A single, red with white heart bead is hooked onto the silver wire. The stamp work is fine and well done, and the silver shows good age. These are easily worn as is.
