Pueblo Maltese Cross Pendant in Turquoise and Plastic

Pueblo, likely Santo Domingo

Item 2530

This pendant likely came out of the Santo Domingo Pueblo and incorporates mosaic turquoise and black and white plastic. This would be considered a Depression Era piece. The design is simple and bold, showing a Maltese cross in turquoise centered with black plastic and spaced between the cross with white plastic. The back is a one, thin piece of black plastic. The piece is punctured with a hole and holds a small wire wrapped to create a suspension for a necklace.
