Description: This figure is the most elaborate endeavour I have ever seen coming out of  of Teddy Weahkee’s creations. The antler horn, which makes up all of the body parts, has been painted a mud brown to depict the kachina mudhead figure.  Earrings are suspended with turquoise and shell as is the belt around the waist.  Hide is used around the neck and around the waist.  Purchase comes with the stand.

Provenance: This single fetish was acquired along with 14 others, all from the Tres Compadres Ranch of the McMahon family of Houston, TX. Patricia Bennett McMahon (1929-2017) and her sister had one of the early art galleries in Santa Fe, NM.
