“Agi” (Agnes Sims) is most known for her paintings and sculptures of ancient rock art. This bucolic watercolor of the Cerrillos copper mines is a rare landscape work by her. The mountains, sky and foreground are boldly shown with heavy strokes and lots of color. This work has been in private hands since it was sold by Owings – Dewey Fine art decades ago.
