Zia Bowl with Ethnographic Wear, 19th Century

Zia Pueblo

Circa 1890 | Clay | Item 2331

This beautiful Zia bowl shows nice wear from use. The patina is warm and in areas the design is bold, in others it’s more faded. The weight of it is strong, and this bowl could be used to hold soft items like fruit. I love thinking about all the use it has had over its many years.

Dimensions 5 1/4" tall, 11" diameter
Condition Very good with ethnographic surface wear, one early rim chip
