This Isleta tin retablo is in excellent condition. The four glass sides are painted on the reverse showing a wavy pattern in red, yellow and green. The print is of an angle guiding the Christ child and it’s advertising a doctor’s remedy with pills. It reads in English: Dr. Ross’s Life Pills, A Surefire Remedy.

This carved, wood bird was likely used on the end of a stick for dancing and or celebration, or possibly as a toy for a child. The patina is wonderful and shows good age. Layers of paint are apparent, from deep red to deep green.

This pendant has the feel and look of a reliquary, but is in fact two finely painted images. One is an angle or saint holding a cornucopia and the other is the Virgin Mary in full regalia. The glass covering each side is a thick piece of glass to fit.
