Description: This water jar has great form and surface. The transition from slip to no slip is distinctive, appearing on the underbody just below the shoulder. The rim has multiple small chips to it for use by the ladle. The opening at the top is small and adds a great sense of scale and proportion to the shape. The underbody has a golden hue to the surface, mixed with random firing clouds – all in contrast to the upper dark black body. Cracks within the body, mostly at the widest shoulder, have been stabilized and are visible from the inside of the jar only.
