Description: This small, baby twilled blanket is a miniature of the larger man’s bachelor blanket.  It was made for a new born baby boy.  The wool is churro, being soft and supple like wool is from those early weaving days.   The handle is wonderful and the condition is excellent without restoration. This is a rare textile, especially for the early age

Condition:  Condition is original without restoration.

Provenance: From a private collection in California. It was originally purchased about 30 years from a Hopi family. These small, twill woven blankets were made for the new born babies in the Hopi culture. They are rare and this is a particularly early one based on the use of churro wool and the thin, worn handle.
