Origin: Navajo, Chinle area
Date: 1st quarter 20th C.
Dimensions: 79″ x 72″
Description: This large blanket is loosely woven in an overall banded pattern that’s superimposed with pictorial elements; arrows, stars, fox faces, etc. It feels like a story is being told here, I just can’t figure it out! The dyes are thought to all be natural.
Restoration: Minimal restoration was done on a few small holes and some edging needed work.
