Description: Very finely woven with tight beaded bands of carded grey on a creamy white field.  Central band is a serpentine line of multiple ravelled red bars.  The ends are half and quartered diamonds made with stacked red bars.  Indigo blue is used very sparingly within the carded grey bands.  Dyes for the red yarns vary from all cochineal to all lac and some sharing both these dyes. Dyes have been tested by David Wenger.
