Description:  Early wood haft with brass tacks ending with an iron forged axe head.  The wood haft has been filed in some way and the patina is rich with age.  There are worm holes throughout as seen in the close up photos.  The proportions of this tool are very pleasing, with a long hold to it and nice curvature to the axe head.  This is a rare and early tool, most likely of the Comanche tribe.
