Description: This Hopi dance skirt or manta is cotton woven, embroidered with wool plied yarns in the classic fashion.  A butterfly centers the piece with rainclouds and sun rays bordering each side. This dance skirt was used and the staining is left as is to show the ethnographic use.  Other than some of the stains, it is in excellent condition with no restoration.
