Description: It’s rare to find a Rio Grande blanket with such strong abrash in the background.  The shifting grey tones add such a strong design aspect to this weaving.  This blanket is woven in two sections with a seam down the center, a characteristic of Spanish Colonial weaving.   The center is a single band of orange.  Out from the center are three groupings of bands in each direction and each of those bands centered with pink weft.  Besides the color of the background grays, orange and pink are the only other colors used.  The true colors are most apparent in the overall photo of this blanket. The close up photos turn the orange into a yellow. There is no yellow in this blanket.

Condition:  Condition is excellent with minor restoration at the ends.
