Origin: San Ildefonso Pueblo
Date: Circa 1890
Dimensions: 5″ tall, 6.5″ diameter
Description: This small jar is a perfect diminutive sized replica of the larger water jars. The designs and colors are all classic San Ildefonso work.
Condition: Condition is very good with surface wear and surface cracks visible in the photos. The rim has two chips visible in the photos. I feel that the cracks were created when the jar was fired, as the slip and coloring is not “broken” at the crack but suggests a melting and then hardening after the firing. The cracks do not go through to the inside.
